Embedded Finance – Case Studies in Credit
“Embedded finance is non-financial companies offering financial products and services.” Sounds simple enough, but there is a whole new set of services built to make this possible, and it is a thriving business.
We will welcome Marton Erdei, Head of Capital Markets at Mission Lane a U.S.-based neobank to lead us through his journey along hands-on examples and open it up for an interactive brainstorming session about the art of the possible on this side of the pond. [The discussion is not going to represent Mission Lane’s but rather the presenter’s personal views and is expected to leverage examples from prior work experiences.]
What are the key characteristics of successful embedded finance models? Marton will look for answers via a few pre-selected case studies, showcasing examples with strong fundamentals, and others with less solid grounds.
What can we all learn from these examples? What could be applicable in the EU?
We will also compare and contrast the fintech landscape of the European Union.
His background in investment banking, early-stage credit investing and as an operator over credit cycles offers a balanced narrative on the sector. He is currently running capital markets for a credit-led neobank platform, Mission Lane. Before joining Mission Lane, Marton invested in alternative credit opportunities in the consumer and small business fintech space as a Principal at Lampros Capital, a special situations investment firm. Throughout his tenure, he screened through a large variety of fintech platforms and only partnered with a few. Prior to that he was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley, leading structured finance transactions.
Throughout his career, Marton worked on a variety of asset classes including consumer, small business, mortgage products, transportation and other esoteric fintech opportunities. His focus has been on unlocking value through innovation, efficient financing solutions and data analytics.
Come join us on the 18th of January to explore the world of embedded finance, and gain core insights from Márton Erdei!
